Our Vision
Located in the heart of historic Skippack Village in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Pages & Parchment is an independent bookstore and a welcoming, inclusive haven for readers of all kinds. Our vision is to share our love of reading and knowledge of books and authors in order to encourage others to discover new worlds, new possibilities, different ways of thinking, and to experience the deep emotions that are brought on by someone else’s story. We will shine a positive light on the community by encouraging connections, hosting bookish events, and supporting local businesses.

We offer a carefully curated selection of books that cover a wide range of genres and interests. Our collection includes everything from bestsellers to hidden gems, new releases to weathered classics, as well as gifts for the book lover in your life.
We want everyone to find something they love at our store, so we stock a wide range of books to cater to different interests. With diverse genres, authors, and topics, there's always something new to discover. We believe in the magic of books to educate, entertain, and inspire, and our collection reflects that passion.

About the Owner
I'm Mallery, and I'm so excited and honored to be the new owner of Pages & Parchment—a bookstore that already feels very much like home to me. Books have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember—I grew up reading constantly, writing stories, and eventually majored in Creative Writing in college.
After college, I spent 17 years living in Australia before moving back home to Pennsylvania last year to be closer to my family. While in Australia, I founded and hosted a writers group, bringing together fellow book lovers and storytellers to share their work and encourage one another.
When the opportunity came along to take over Pages & Parchment, it felt like the perfect way to combine my love of books with the joy of being part of a local community. I'm excited to continue growing the shop while honoring the wonderful bookstore Becky created two years ago.
Whether you're stopping in to browse, searching for your next great read, or joining us for a book club or event, I hope Pages & Parchment feels like a welcoming place for readers of all kinds, where you can slow down, discover something new, and feel at home among the shelves.

Bring in your gently loved books, and receive store credit to discover new reads. Whether you’re looking to refresh your collection or share your favorite stories with others, this is the perfect way to give your books a second life. Come by and see what treasures await!
Used Book Trade-In Policy
At Pages and Parchment, we’re delighted to offer our customers the opportunity to trade in their gently used books in exchange for store credit. To ensure a smooth and fair process for everyone, please review the following guidelines:
- Book Condition: We accept books in good to excellent condition. Books must be clean, with intact covers, spines, and pages. We do not accept books with excessive wear, water damage, mold, missing pages, or significant markings (such as excessive highlighting or notes).
- Accepted Genres: We welcome trade-ins across a variety of genres, including fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, and more. However, we may decline certain categories based on current inventory needs and demand.
- Quantity Limits: To better serve all customers, we may limit the number of books accepted per visit. Large collections may require an appointment; please contact us in advance if you wish to trade in more than 10 books at a time.
- Store Credit: Accepted books will be evaluated by our staff, and the store credit offered will be based on factors such as condition, popularity, and demand. Store credit can be used for Used Books only, and is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Items We Cannot Accept: We do not accept textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines, outdated reference materials, or books that do not meet our condition standards. We reserve the right to decline any items at our discretion.
- Evaluation Process: Book evaluations are typically completed during your visit; however, large or complex trades may require additional time. If this is the case, we will provide an estimated timeline for when the evaluation will be completed.
- Unaccepted Books: If any of your books are not accepted for trade-in, you may choose to take them back or allow us to donate them on your behalf to local charities or community organizations.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines. Our goal is to provide a curated selection of quality used books for all our customers, and your participation in our trade-in program helps us achieve that. Thank you for supporting Pages and Parchment!
